Are you a shy person? May be because you are an introvert. Sorry to break that dream but both of these things have no relation between them.

What is Shyness?

You may want to say that I am asking a stupid question, but still bear with me.

Shyness is when you feel nervous in company of others. Say, you are at the party and there you see a person whom you don’t know but he or she is talking to you. Now for a moment you will feel nervous, but let’s say you hang out with them for half an hour now would you feel nervous?

In most of the cases, no you won’t. You are not being shy anymore.

Shyness is temporary. Whenever we are feeling nervous in doing something then we will say we are feeling shy. That means no one is shy or you can say everyone is shy. Some people get more nervous than others.

So never tag yourself as a shy person and try to get away with it. There is nothing called shy person.

Then how to remove shyness?

See my friend, one of the biggest reason you are feeling shy in a situation is because you are not used to it. If I tell you to go and start dancing in the busiest market in your city then chances are you will feel shy.

But if there is an artist who does it daily he won’t feel shy because he is used to it.

Similarly you don’t feel shy talking to your family because you talk to them daily but if there is your friend who does not talk to much people then eh will feel shy in talking to your family.

Sometimes we feel we are not good at something and then we start making assumptions that people will make fun of us and we get nervous.

The best solution in such situations is to get better at those things. If you are good at singing and you know it then you won’t feel shy or nervous whenever you are told to sing. Same thing applies to dance, public speaking, acting and so on.

TLDR: If you are feeling shy at something then get used to and better at that thing and you will see your shyness flying away.
